Cindy’s goal in life is simple: be useful, be relevant and be mindful.
As a third generation small business owner and growing up in Asia, Cindy is frugal by nature. As someone who constantly expands her business and investing in new business ventures, Cindy knows about saving money to properly invest in capital-growing assets.
That’s why being green becomes so important.
As a stager by trade, her company Staged4more Home Staging and Redesigns has been in business since early 2006. For everything that Staged4more uses, unless it absolutely cannot be reused, recycled or repurposed in some sort of fashion, she reluctantly lets it go into trash. To date, Cindy estimates that she roughly saved $8,500+ in operating costs by practicing being green.
More importantly, through her continue education at the Sustainable Building Advisor program, she learned what a wasteful industry real estate can be. In building a 2-bedroom house, the construction waste will fill up one of the bedrooms we just built, in which 85% can be recycled instead of ending up in landfills. This leads to her thinking that there are many things can be changed simply through our behaviors.
Professionally as a stager, Cindy has appeared in San Francisco Chronicle, San Mateo County Times, California Home + Design, Inman blog, Curbly, Active Rain, HGTV, Carnival of Real Estate, How to Build a Successful Home Staging Business by Barb Schwarz and many other media outlets.
In 2008, Cindy won Make Mine A Million business competition in Micro category. She also received Sam Walton Emerging Entrepreneur Award. Cindy was finalist to Real Estate Staging Association’s Professional Stager of the Year Award and Innovative Stager of the Year Award.
